With a project named 'Boulder Springs', it's not surprising the brief asked for a logo that prominently showed a boulder and a spring; but I suggested highlighting the view - I believed potential buyers would more likely be drawn in by that, and by creating an inviting feel, not by showing a rock by a river. The words 'Boulder Springs' would help paint a rural, woodsy picture; but I felt the imagery could reinforce that, while also telling more of the story.
The client agreed.
Final deliverables included the logo design and a simplified version for site signage.
