Black Sheep Distillery was looking for an identity that portrayed them as an independent, innovative, premium crafter of spirits, using only fresh, organic, local botanicals.
What helped set them apart was their ‘rustic West Coast meets noble British sophistication’ vibe, with a bit of a ‘bad boy’ edge, which they saw as being best communicated with masculine, warm tones like black, white & copper.
Oh, and they liked stars.
This was a great project to work on, so it was really too bad
that the project stalled at the logo stage when they couldn’t get rights to the name…
